The 2009-2010 Gunnery Annual Fund ended with a bang, reaching an all time high of $1,205,869. 1194 donors made this goal a reality. Alumni, parents, grandparents, faculty, students, and friends have embraced The Gunnery's commitment to excellence and showed their belief in the school through their generosity toward the 2010 Annual Fund.
"Hitting this goal makes me feel terrific," said David N. Hoadley '51, Trustee and Co-Chair of the Annual Fund.

Over two hundred alumni brought the Gunnery campus to life at Alumni Weekend 2010. Shared stories,
nostalgia, and recreation filled the three-day event which included reunion dinners, a baseball game, an alumni
parade, classes, tours, an alumni row, presentations, and a clambake. The school also welcomed Wykeham
Rise alumnae from the classes of 1963-1989 (Wykeham closed in 1989) to share in the annual festivities.
Without a doubt, the class of 1960 made their presence known in festive solidarity. In matching red shirts, 29
out of 51 living classmates heartily participated in the day’s events.

Spencer Meyer also contributed that: "Back row (l-r): Me , ?, Matt Petras, Matt Hanson, Clark Wierdsma, Eric Hansen;
Front row (l-r): Nancy Gaal, Emily Wierdsma, Danielle Pettricone, Meredith Pasch, Kate Holmes."

May Question: Former faculty Bill Chase weighed in on the May photo, identifying Danielle Petriccione and also calling our attention to the correct spelling of Eddi Zyko's name. Andrea Calore sent some answers for that gathering of athletic captains: "I believe that this was a yearbook picture for fall sports team captains. Danielle and Emily for field hockey. Nancy Gall for crew. The mystery boy for boys' soccer. Spencer Meyer for crew. And I believe the rest were for football."

We're still missing the boys' soccer captain.
Any thoughts on the June photo?

The girls of Brinsmade dormitory emerged as the winners of the 2009-2010 Dorm Challenge. This was the first year a female dorm won the challenge which began in the fall of 2007.
The final challenge (croquet, tennis, Frisbee golf, and bocce) was like all the others in that it had nothing to do with physical or academic strength. The girls won by a landslide being seventy points ahead of the dorm who took second place. "Everyone can participate, and it doesn't favor one type of individual," said Kate Merritt, Dean of Residential Life. "Every challenge is gender neutral. It doesn't matter how old, big, or smart you are. This is simply about working together. This is a chance for the kids to have some pride in where they live. They work and interact with people they normally wouldn't socialize with."
Other dorm challenges for the '09-'10 year included a field sports event, a Gunnery's-Got-Talent competition, penny wars fundraiser, gingerbread house making, a dance off, and a trivia night, among many others.

When Derick TeeKing '85 was attending the University of Vermont (B.A., Economics), Ralph Lauren visited his campus looking to hire for retail management positions. On a whim, Derick, who at the time had limited retail experience, decided to give it a shot. Little did he know that he would find a new passion that would lead to a very successful career in sales, finance, and marketing spanning over twenty years (and still going strong).
Currently, Derick is a consultant/owner of Fleming and TeeKing Strategic Advisors, L.L.C., an advisory firm specializing in the retail and consumer products industries. [continued]
