In the 1970s, Peter Cree '71 thought he was going to be a lawyer. During his undergraduate years, all of that changed. While taking an art class at Bucknell University (B.A.), he picked up a piece of black walnut and began to carve. "It was natural to me, like a past life experience. At that point in time, I was in my third year of college, I switched everything into final arts. They gave me four keys to four studios and left me alone. (From there), I took over."

Peter's experience at Bucknell paved the way for the rest of his life. Upon graduation in 1975, he lived in Maine, northern CA, Colorado, London, and Australia. [continued]

The recent reception at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT initiated a joint effort by the Advancement and Admissions Offices. In combining the constituencies, alumni, current parents, trustees and faculty mingled with prospective parents from Manhattan and Fairfield counties. The event was hosted by Peter Sutton '68, Executive Director of the Bruce Museum. The gathering was particularly meaningful as two students, Elle Sutherland '12 and Matt Milana '10 traveled to the event as Admissions Ambassadors," said Laura Eldridge, Director of Institutional Advancement. "They not only made the prospective students feel comfortable in the primarily adult gathering, but they also spoke with alumni and reconnected them with the school as only students can do." Increase jobs. Cut debt. Reform Washington. Will Gregory '03 promises to fight for these initiatives if he is elected to the United States Congress from Connecticut's 4th District. If he wins, he will be the youngest person to have a seat in Congress.

Will has been active in his community from a very young age. He received his Eagle Scout award at 14 years-old and quickly gained a reputation as a driven and purposeful local leader through service projects at a neighborhood nursery school, the First Presbyterian Church of New Canaan, and through his engagement in a wide range of community organizations. At The Gunnery, he ran for numerous leadership positions. "I lost everything I ran for," he said. [continued]
