As 97.5 million people can attest, Super Bowl XLII was an event of major proportions. One individual held particular interest: Steven E. Tisch '67, co-owner of the New York Giants. Steve, along with the rest of America, was there to see his team take on the New England Patriots as....well, you know how that story ended.
This isn't the first time a Gunnery-owned team won the Super Bowl. In 2001, the Baltimore Ravens (then owned by David Modell '80) won against the New York Giants, thus creating a little Gunnery rivalry. Congratulations to Steve and the rest of his team!

The Advancement Office (the office formerly known as Development) received some new blood in addition to its new name with the arrival of Evelina Erickson in January 2008. As the Director of Parent Programs and Major Reunions, she will utilize almost a decade of experience in fund-raising, event planning, and community outreach.
From December 1996 to December 2002, Evelina took her B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland College Park into the political arena, working for the likes of Parris N. Glendening, Governor of Maryland, and Barbara A. Mikulski, U.S. Senator.

With the distinguished, scholarly ideology stapled to educational tv, many tend to forget that its humble beginnings derive from a big yellow bird, a cyboid named "Digit" and the cast of The Electric Company. Nobody knows this better than Emily Zyko '98 who works for 13WNET, a subsidiary of PBS. Within this organization, she is a project manager with Family Literacy, an initiative to work with the New York City community at large to maximize their television usage.

Chad Taylor '03 spends his days (and nights) as a tour manager for Mick Management, a music managing company whose clients include John Mayer, Ray Lamontagne, and Brett Dennen. For the last three months, he has been on the road with the latter, travelling across the United States. He is responsible for the successful execution of four to five shows a week in a different city every night. His work day is practically 24 hours long (Wake up time is 7:00a.m., and bedtime is 2:00A.M.). Despite the grueling demands, he loves every minute of it.
While a student studying Psychology and Music at Syracuse, Chad interned at H.D.O. records during his junior year. There, he met John Mayer's manager and was asked to be an assistant for the Grammy-winning pop star. However, in a last minute decision, Chad was asked to go on the road as Brett Dennen's tour manager.
