andrea_marron_title andrea_marron_picture Have you ever gone shopping for a dress with a particular image in mind? You know exactly what color you want, what style it should be, and how it should fall on you? How many hours have you spent in every Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and Lord & Taylor’s across the country looking for this desired piece of clothing only to come up empty, frustrated, and in some cases, depressed (after all, isn’t a size two the new size four?). Andrea Marron ’04 also had this issue. Her solution? The internet-based Studio 28 Couture, Inc. "I have always had an interest in fashion and decided to start Studio 28 when I saw a trend towards customizable fashion," said Andrea. GUNNERY RAISES MONEY FOR JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH GUNNERY RAISES MONEY FOR JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH
In recognition of National Diabetes Month, The Gunnery raised $1,053.45 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Initiated and led by senior Kristina Roberts, events were organized with the support of Kate Merritt and the Residential Life Office. Kristy remembers walking around campus and seeing a lot of efforts to increase breast cancer awareness. “I knew just as many, if not more people who had diabetes,” she said. “My father has diabetes. I wanted to raise money for this cause and educate the campus about diabetes and its effects.” Kristy was thrilled to hear that alumnus Edsel Ford ’68 offered a two for one match for the students’ efforts. Edsel’s wife Cynthia is on the JDRF board. An additional $2,106.90 will be donated to the JDRF in the name of Gunnery’s students.

The Foreigner
The Foreigner A lively crew of both veterans and newcomers brought Larry Shue’s 1984 farce, The Foreigner, to The Gunnery stage on November 9th and 10th. The play’s premise: what happens when a group of divergent characters deals with a stranger who (they think) knows no English. [continued]
